7th Grade 3/3
Essential Question: How do I use angle relationships to setup equations and solve for a variable to find a missing angle?

Vocabulary:acute angle, obtuse angle, vertical angle adjacent angle, complementary angle, suplementary angle

Skills: angle pairs, algebraic equations

Homework:Find x
x + 25 +4x = 180
2x - 25=90

8th Grade 3/3

Essential Question: How do I determine if a function or equation is linear or non-linear?

Vocabulary: slope, y-intercept, slope intercept form, linear, non-linear

Skills: algebraic equations, solving for "y"

Homework:
out in y=mx+b form

x - 12 = 4y
5x + 3 = -9y

*A function is said to be linear if it is in the form of y = ax + b. Linearity of equations can be checked by bringing it to this form. An equation is said to be non-linear if it is not in the general form.
